Confidence can be a child’s greatest weapon, but false confidence can keep them in harms way when they should run. At CCKK, we believe that a child’s self-defense knowledge is vastly more important than a piece of black cloth around their waist. You will never see a CCKK belt test held at a school gym or 6 year old black belts. We believe teaching integrity, honesty, respect, honor, loyalty and courage is best done by example. At CCKK your child will gain confidence as they learn a realistic self-defense system.

Unlike most martial arts studios, we limit our class sizes. Our focus is on the student and their progress is our primary concern. At CCKK, your child will even get one on one help before or after a class if they need it. The instructors at CCKK are there to see that your child succeeds. The more attention your child gets, the faster they will learn and the more confident they will be.

We have been teaching Kenpo in Carroll County since 1997, and our chief instructor has been teaching the martial arts for 25 + years. Mr. Guercio selects and oversees the training of all the instructors at CCKK. All the instructors are selected for their integrity, knowledge of Kenpo karate and ability to share the knowledge with the students. All of our instructors are certified by the American Kenpo Karate International.

Most martial arts schools teach what is referred to as a stand up or a grappling martial art. The stand up arts  are inadequate if the altercation goes to the ground. It is said that 90% of all altercations end up on the ground. The grappling arts or wrestling arts are ineffective against multiple attackers. At CCKK your child will learn to defend themselves on the ground as well as on their feet. Kenpo was designed to work in any imaginable situation as well as against multiple attackers efficiently.

At CCKK, you won’t be shuffled away into a sales office when you stop in to view a class. You won’t be pressured into signing a long term iron clad contract. You won’t be hammered on to upgrade your program to the “black belt club”, “masters program”, “leadership program”, “SWAT team” or any other useless “special programs” designed to take more of your money for little or no benefit for you child. At CCKK, we are dedicated to teaching the art of Kenpo karate and the progression of the student.
