How do I fit into Carroll County Kenpo?
There are two ways to look at this question, am I going to be able to do class, and how is the social aspect of the school. The first question is the easiest. Anybody can do Kenpo. One of the great things about Kenpo is that it tailors to you the student. Kenpo teaches the student to utilize their natural abilities to optimize their self-defense skills. No fitness level is required to start, any one can do this stuff. You will notice as your time in class goes on that your fitness levels will increase just because you are on your feet moving around. We teach self-defense but there is no reason why we can't get a work out while we do it.
The second question about the social climate of the school is also easy. Here at CCKenpo we have a friendly-family atmosphere. We keep class light but serious enough to get good work done. The school frequently hosts social events for both children and adults such as, game nights, pizza parties, and movie nights. No matter who you are, there is a place for you here at CCKenpo.

Tell me about the facility.
The CCKenpo school facility is fully stocked with heavy bags, sparring gear, and focus targets. Everything you could need for your Kenpo career is already here at the school. Our mat is raised carpeted wooden floor which provides stable footing while doing Kenpo. Just outside our mat area is an observation area for parents and friends to watch the students participate in class. There are seperate male and female dressing rooms with racks and shelves to hold your belongings during class. Finally we have a parking lot right beside the school. CCKenpo has all the amenities that you would need for your Kenpo training from White to Black belt.

Is CCKenpo safe for me/my child?
This should be the number one question for all parents/students when looking for a karate school. Here at CCKenpo we have an extensive safety program that all instructors must complete prior to teaching on their own. All instructors are CPR Certified, First Aid certified and under go federal background checks. All these things are to protect our students in case of an emergency. We also enforce rules such as no child is to be left in the school with a single adult. We request parents come in to pickup their children and to get to know the instructors so that we can know who the child has left with. At CCKenpo we focus on self-defense teaching it in a safe, comfortable enviroment for all.
